Mission

  • To promote high standards of anaesthesia practice, pain management, and critical care through continuous education, structured training, and mentorship programs.
  • To encourage research, clinical audits, and innovation aimed at improving patient safety and perioperative outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.
  • To create public awareness about the vital role of anaesthesiologists and the importance of safe anaesthesia in surgery, obstetrics, emergency medicine, and intensive care.
  • To support the professional well-being, ethical conduct, and career development of members at every stage, from postgraduate trainees to senior consultants.
  • To collaborate with hospitals, professional organisations, and health authorities in developing and implementing best-practice guidelines and patient safety initiatives.
  • To promote outreach activities such as resuscitation training, pain relief programs, and community engagement initiatives that extend anaesthesia expertise to the wider public.

About the Society

The Society shall be known as Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Andhra Pradesh (ISA-AP), registered under the A.P. Societies Registration Act, 2001. The registered office is at 29-28-77, Dasari Vari Street, Surya Rao Pet, Vijayawada – 520002, Andhra Pradesh.

Aims & Objectives

As laid down in the Memorandum of Association, ISA-AP pursues the following objectives:

  1. To associate together in one corporate body all reputable and registerable medical men and women practicing or interested in the science and art of Anaesthesiology.
  2. To promote the advancement of Medical Science.
  3. To edit and publish a Newsletter.
  4. To determine the competence of specialists in Anaesthesiology and conduct examinations for certificates to be issued to voluntary applicants.
  5. To protect the public against irresponsible and unqualified practitioners who profess to be specialists in Anaesthesiology.
  6. To encourage scientific research and experimental work on anaesthetic problems.
  7. To hold scientific discussions and read papers on Anaesthesiology.
  8. To watch and advise on legislation affecting Anaesthesiology.
  9. To hold periodic conferences at various places for the betterment of the cause of anaesthesia in Andhra Pradesh.
  10. To receive donations and subscriptions from persons who are eligible and desire to join the society, and to hold the funds for the advancement of Anaesthesiology and the betterment of members.
  11. To co-operate with other medical and scientific associations.
  12. To arrange exhibitions of implements, appliances etc., pertaining to anaesthesia in different parts of the country and suggest improvements in these implements and appliances.
  13. To make rules when deemed necessary relating to the discipline and professional conduct of Anaesthesiologists.
  14. To make bye-laws, rules and regulations of the society and to delete, change or add to the same as and when necessary.
  15. To add all such things as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the above objects.
  16. To prepare a directory of Anaesthesiologists in Andhra Pradesh who are registered members, compiled by the Honorary Secretary and circulated to members periodically.

Non-Profit Status

All income of the Society — from wherever derived — shall be expended solely to accomplish or further the objectives of the Society as set forth in this Memorandum of Association, and for no other purpose. No income shall be disbursed among members by way of profits, dividends, bonuses or otherwise. Nothing herein shall prevent payment of remuneration to employees for services rendered.

Certifications

  • Certified that the Association is formed with no profit motive and no commercial activities are involved in its working.
  • Certified that the Office Bearers are not paid from the Association funds.
  • Certified that the Association would not engage in any agitation activities to ventilate its grievances.
  • Certified that the Office Bearers’ signatures are genuine.
