Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Andhra Pradesh (ISA-AP) operates through 17 active city branches that deliver localized academic programs, CMEs, workshops, and member support across the state.

Statewide Branch Network

ISA-AP branches foster grassroots engagement, enabling anaesthesiologists in urban and rural areas to participate in society activities tailored to regional needs. Each branch is led by an elected President, Honorary Secretary and Treasurer.

Branch Activities

Each branch organises:

• Quarterly CMEs and skill workshops on topics like regional anaesthesia and critical care.
• PG teaching sessions and mock exam support for local trainees.
• Public awareness drives on safe anaesthesia and basic life support.

Branches report to the State Executive Committee and coordinate joint events.

Formation of a Branch (Article XV)

The formation, rights and obligations of ISA-AP city branches are governed by Article XV of the Society’s bye-laws:

1. The Executive Committee may allow the formation of a city branch at any place in Andhra Pradesh on a written application made to ISA-AP by not less than twenty Life Members residing in that city, whose names appear on the register of the Society at the time of application, along with a recognition fee of ₹2,000/- payable to ISA-AP.
2. Branches so formed shall have the same aims and objectives as the parent Society but shall have the right to elect their own Executive Committee and fix their own local subscription in addition to the Annual Subscription paid to the parent body. A branch may adopt its own constitution for local activities, provided it does not contradict the aims, objectives or constitutional provisions of ISA-AP.
3. The Honorary Secretary of each branch is responsible for the collection of member subscriptions.
4. 15% of the Annual Subscription of members may be retained by the city branch. The Secretary of each branch shall submit quarterly reports and an Annual Report with the balance sheet of accounts to ISA-AP every year on or before 1st September.
5. The General Body reserves the right to withdraw recognition of any branch at any time on the recommendation of the Executive Committee.
